Portfolio Construction provides a more detailed treatment of financial
techniques than most investment books, and gives an up-to-date account of recent
theory and practice. It covers a wide range of relevant investment problems,
explains the techniques and also illustrates its appropriateness by practical
examples. The author Tom Steenkamp is head allocation & research of ABP
Investments, one of the largest pension funds of the world. In addition he is
professor of investments at the Vrije Universiteit ("VU") in
Amsterdam.
